2013 Folktoberfest Attendee Registration and Order Form

THOSE PLANNING TO ATTEND, AND THOSE SENDING A PROXY TO ATTEND FOR THEM, SHOULD USE THIS FORM

October 18-20, Doherty Hotel in Clare MI/dohertyhotel.com/800-525-4115

(tell them youÕre with the Wee Forest Folk Mouse event OR Folktoberfest)

FTF REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

Full Registration:  Purchase $650 worth of FTF 2013 Event Pieces and your registration fee will be waived. Early registration will earn you raffle tickets:  100 if postmarked by August 20, 50 if postmarked by August 31, and 25 if postmarked by September 15.  (Raffle tickets at the event will cost $1 each or 30 for $20).

Paid Registration:  If you plan to attend but will not be purchasing $650 worth of pieces, the registration fee is $250.  This will cover all of your meals, participation in all events including the auction,  plus prizes and surprises.

Saturday-Only Registration:  If you would like to attend Saturday only, registration is $100, which will be waived if you purchase at least $300 of FTF 2013 Event Pieces.  This fee covers everything happening on Saturday:  meals, auction, activities, prizes, etc.

Your registration fee entitles you to participate in all FTF challenges and events including raffles and auctions, win prizes and surprises, and enjoy Doherty hospitality (dinner Friday evening, three meals and snacks on Saturday, and brunch on Sunday—over $130 in food alone!).  It also entitles you to purchase ONE each of the embellished Attendee pieces (with the embellishment of your choosing).

Meals-Only Registration:  If youÕd like to join us for meals and snacks only, you can do so for food costs of just $130.

Registration and Mouse Purchase fees must be received no later than October 7, 2013.  We will place our final order with the factory on that date.  No mice will be ordered after October 7, although you are still welcome to attend the event as a registered guest.

FTF HOTEL LOCATION:   This yearÕs event will be held at the Doherty Hotel in Clare, Michigan.  You can reach them online at dohertyhotel.com or call them at 800-525-4115 or 989-386-3441.

The Doherty Hotel is our choice for accommodations for several reasons.  First, the staff there go far beyond basic good care when it comes to meeting our needs.  Nothing is too quirky or last-minute for them to handle for us and they truly enjoy our company, even when weÕre dressed as clowns or pitching hay in the parking lot, or running one-foot relay races in the foyer.  Moreover, the food is great (ask anyone who has been there!), the rooms are nice, and the frequent remodeling projects keep everything fresh and inviting.  Tell them youÕre with Folktoberfest or Ņthe mouse eventÓ when you call to book a room.  They will offer you the special event rate of $79 for a basic double room (fireplace rooms extra).

Clare is a small Michigan town about 15 minutes north of Mt. Pleasant (home of the Pohlcat Golf Course and Soaring Eagle Casino) and an hour north of Lansing (state capital).  It is currently most famous for its bakery, Cops ŌnÕ Donuts, which is wholly owned and run by Clare City police officers.  For many FTF guests, it is also home to the Mulberry Cafˇ, where you can purchase not only amazing muffins with lemon curd but a variety of made-from-scratch pies.

Any Event Pieces and the WFFCC Club Piece will count toward Registration Fees for Attendees

FTF PIECES

PARTICIPATION PIECES:

This year participation tickets will be placed in raffle boxes for a variety of special embellished pieces (donated to the event by Annette Petersen) and other interesting prizes, including circus trinket boxes crafted by Fantasy artist, Carolee Clark.  There will be no official WFF participation piece.

LIMITED CHARITY PIECE:

Six pieces will be auctioned for charity.  Charities will be specified for each piece so as to Ņspread the wealthÓ among as many worthy causes as possible.  You must attend to purchase this piece and may only purchase one.  In keeping with this yearÕs Wee Ring Circus theme, the charity piece will be the locomotive painted as a Circus Train piece.

IF YOU ARE SENDING A PROXY, that person should be empowered to write the charity check; we will not bill you after the fact.

EMBELLISHED ATTENDEE PIECES:

Each attendee is entitled to purchase one of each of the two embellished pieces, Bloons the Clown and Dazey the Clown.  You may choose from three embellishments: rabbit ears sticking out of a black magicianÕs hat, an orange tiger face, and a circus tent.  You may request a different embellishment on Bloons than you have on Dazey BUT you may only buy a total of two embellished pieces.

WFFCC CLUB PIECE:

As in years passed, the Wee Forest Folk Collectors Club has been offered a special piece to sell as our Club Piece.  This year we requested a Clown that would fit in with the FTF Event Pieces.  Consequently, Sunnie the Clown was born.

Sunnie will be embellished with WFFCC 2013.  He/she will be delivered with the rest of your event pieces when you check in.

SHIPPING OPTION

Sometimes picking up your pieces at the event complicates your travel because that is one more big box to deal with in the car or on the plane.  If you would prefer, we can pack your pieces and ship them with those going to nonattendees (shipping occurs on Friday at the beginning of the event; the pieces are sent Priority Mail and should arrive on Tuesday).  If you would prefer this option, there is a $15 fee for shipping and insurance for orders under $500 and $20 for all other orders (insurance is the biggest expense for shipping costs).  The pieces will be at the USPS when you get home.

Is there anything we need to know to make your experience at FTF more enjoyable (such as special dietary needs, room accessibility needs, allergies, etc.)?

We wonÕt need as many helpers as usual this year because we have hired a variety of professionals to run the circus.  That way, fewer guests get cut out of the fun because they are busy doing something else.

Moreover, we will not have a special FTF helperÕs piece this year and will have to thank our helpers in less glamorous ways.  Knowing that, would you like to be a helper?  What kinds of FTF jobs do you most enjoy?

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

You may pay by check or PayPal and you may make up to three installment payments.  If you use PayPay, please add 3% to your purchase price to cover the fees they charge.   If you wish to make installment payments, please note that on the final page.  All mice must be prepaid no later than October 7.  We will place our final order on that date.

ORDERING INFORMATION:  You may order more than one of any piece or pieces EXCEPT for the Attendee Pieces (limit one each), or you may pay the Registration fee and attend without purchasing any WFFs at all.  Indicate the number of each piece you wish to purchase and fill in the subtotals and grand total. Make checks payable to Folktoberfest.
